Manage all your resources with one application

RFCommand is a file system and resource manager that puts you in control.

RFCommand in the blue theme, with a folder open in each of its two panels RFCommand in the sage theme, reading a markdown document beside the folder that holds it RFCommand in the blue theme, showing a SQL query's results in the console beside the database tables it ran against RFCommand in the red theme, playing a video in the preview panel beside the folder it came from

The two panels you know, reaching everything you use

Many tools exist that work like Norton Commander, proving that two panels are the fastest way to work with files: F5 copies, F8 delete, and the source and target are always on screen together. RFCommand keeps all of that, then takes the same keys much further. Archives, disk images, FTP servers, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and even live SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite databases open in the panels as ordinary folders.

The rest of your day is built in too: a viewer for text, markdown, tables, pictures and video, an editor that saves straight back to a server or an archive, one search across every source, batch renaming by photo date or music tag, a web API client, and a real console that follows the active panel and runs SQL when you are inside a database. All of it looks and behaves like today's Windows, with Explorer's own icons and right-click menu, so there is less to switch between and less to learn.

What would you like to do?

Pick a category and see how it works.

Source on the left, target on the right, both on screen at once.
Unlimited tabs per panel, each remembering where it was.
Brief or full view, sorted the way you want it.
Compare Directories selects everything that differs between the two sides.

Copy with F5, move with F6, from the active panel to the one on the other side.
Drag and drop between the two panels, or in and out of Explorer.
Copy and paste works the way you expect, including with Explorer and Outlook.
Delete to the Recycle Bin, or outright.
Send a long job to the background queue and carry on working.

Quick View turns the other panel into a preview that follows the cursor.
Folders and database tables get a live summary.
View Text, markdown, tables, images, video and audio.
Tail mode follows a log file as it is being written.

The built-in editor with syntax highlighting for common languages and data formats.
A change-tracking margin shows what you have altered since the last save.
Open a data file as a grid and edit the cells in place.
Edit a file on a server or inside an archive and save it straight back.

Archives and other container files opens like a folder.
Create an archive, with encryption if you want it.
Copy straight from one archive into another.

Your cloud drive sits in a panel like any other folder.
Copy between your disk and the cloud with one key.
Cloud documents are converted on the way out, so they open in the app you expect.

Tables are folders. Rows and columns are files. No need to run queries all the time.
Open a table and read it as a grid.
Every database exports a readable schema and a diagram file.
Copy a whole database to disk as portable, version-controllable text.

A real terminal at the bottom, bound to the active panel's path.
Run SQL queries while you are viewing a database from the console.
Tab completion and history, so you type less.

Rebind any of the 47 actions.
Light or dark, and twenty-four accent colours, applied without a restart.
Show or hide any part of the window, and keep it as a named layout.
Five languages, switched live.

Everything is better in pairs

Two hands. Two eyes. Two ears. Two halves of a brain, each doing something the other cannot. You were built to work with a pair of things, and you already know how much harder everything gets when you lose one of them.

So why manage your data through a single window, looking at one place at a time and holding the other in your head? RFCommand gives you both. Here and there, at once, always.

Simplicity at your fingertips

One window, one set of keys, and everything you need already on screen.

Source and target always available

Two panels means you can see where a file is and where you want it at the same moment. Copying is easy, and both the source and target locations of your work are visible all the time.

See inside without opening

Quick View turns the other panel into a live preview that follows your cursor. Text, tables, pictures, video, sound. It previews folders and database tables too, which Explorer cannot do at all.

One search for everything

One search box that reaches your disks, your network, inside your archives, your servers, your cloud drives and your databases. One place to look, whatever you are looking for.

Everything opens like a folder

A zip, a disk image, an FTP server, your cloud drive and a live database all open with the same keys. Disk images open read-only, whether iso, vhd, vhdx, vmdk, vdi or xva, and FTP connects securely over FTPS.

Large files open instantly

A multi-gigabyte log opens straight away, because only the lines on screen are ever read. Tail mode then follows it as it is written, and a huge data file opens as a table the same way.

Simple by default

Press F5 to copy and you are done. Or rebind every key, pick your colours, choose your language, and shape the window exactly the way you work, with a saved layout for each job one click away. By default it is easy to use, and if you need more, then customize it.
